Eat all the things in bowls! Especially if those things include berries, granola, chia, almond milk, and seeds! We’re dying for Lee Tilghman’s smoothie bowls and lately she’s been popping up everywhere. Bringing our Instagram dreams to life, Lee recently threw a one day, smoothie bowl pop-up hosted by Alma Restaurant in DTLA (across the street from The Ace) and had Los Angelenos savoring every last bite.
In order to recreate the magic from that Sunday brunch, we asked Lee for her list of favorite toppings. Some of these toppings are no surprise to us – goji berries? Pile them on! The artfulness with which Lee arranges everything has us inspired to make these delicious concoctions more often!
Lee Tilghman’s 7 Favorite Smoothie Toppings
Granolee
My homemade granola. It’s made with 5 ingredients and is super pure, clean & crunchy!
Local Bee Pollen
From the farmer’s market- helps to control springtime and seasonal allergies.
Goji Berries
Promote glowing skin because of their high dose of beta-carotene, the same pigment in carrots.
Hemp Seeds
An excellent source of essential fatty acids including Omega 3, 6, and GLA. Also they are more easily digestable than meat, eggs, and cheese!
Chia Seeds
Deliver a high quality protein and help you stay fuller longer.
Sesame Seeds
Are super tasty and I’m obsessed with their delicate, nutty flavor. They are an excellent source of copper & manganese, calcium, iron, and magnesium!
Fresh Blueberries
Are not only delicious but they are full of antioxidants that help fight off inflamation.
