As if April didn’t give us enough to be excited about, it also marks the beginning of peak strawberry season here in California. This strawberry smoothie is only the beginning of our big plans for these beloved berries (balsamic roasted strawberry tart, anyone?).

Topping our strawberry to-do list is this pretty little rose-infused strawberry smoothie from our gal Claire Thomas of Kitchy Kitchen. We’re head-over-heels for all things rosewater and it makes a dreamy complement to spring’s queen of berries. Grab your blender, gather the goods, and get sipping…

Remember how milk always came in three flavors? Plain, chocolate and strawberry? Well, this is inspired by that adorably sweet pink drink that was one of my favorites growing up. As an adult, I’m trying not to indulge in my childhood love of sugar + dye, so here is a healthy option. It’s loaded with fresh strawberries, immune boosting raw honey and fatty acid powerhouse evening primrose oil. I added rosewater, because that’ s how I roll, and the result is lovely. Enjoy!

  1. The rosewater linked seems sketchy as it says “For external use only” I would rather make my own :S
