We’re thrilled to announce a new series here on TCM that celebrates the intersection of fashion and wellness, inspired by Pressed Juicery’s Vogue Lemonades. All summer long we’ll be sharing exclusive interviews with healthy men and women we love in fashion and beyond who embody what it means to “live well” — starting with supermodel, mother and humanitarian, Christy Turlington Burns.
As one of the most iconic faces in fashion, Christy has made an indelible impression on the fashion industry. She is also a lasting champion for the message of ‘yoga as modern wellness protocol’ – giving the whole world major body goals in a few of the most famed yoga-meets-fashion images out there.
Over the years, we’ve chatted with Christy about the cause closest to her heart, her non-profit Every Mother Counts (EMC), dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safer for mothers around the world.
In honor of Mother’s Day, Christy and EMC have launched the Orange Rose Mother’s Day campaign which includes a curated collection of gifts that give back, including products from Marc Jacobs and this beautiful candle by one of our favorite local brands, Le Feu de L’Eau. 100% of net proceeds goes to Every Mother Counts (support the cause here!). We’re also giving one away — check our Instagram to enter today!

Recent inspirations:
I just returned from Tanzania where I ran the Kilimanjaro Half Marathon and met with Every Mother Counts’ grantee partners. I am always inspired by the women I meet on Every Mother Counts trips but this time I was especially inspired by a group of Masaai Secondary School girls, many of whom left families behind to receive an education and avoid child marriage.
Cause that’s closest to my heart:
Every Mother Counts, an organization I founded in 2010. We are a non-profit dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother, everywhere.
My current mantra:
Be Here Now, stolen from Ram Dass’s book with the same name.
