Inarguably one of the most recognizable faces of our time, Christy Turlington Burns has been lighting up our September issues and other fashion mainstays for most of our lives. It’s no news that Christy is keen on using her timeless look to support timeless causes, the mainstay of them all being her own organization, Every Mother Counts (see our interview with Christy here).

For her efforts toward improving maternal health, Citizens of Humanity has selected Christy as their latest profile in their philanthropic video series, Just Like You. The series follows creatives who have impacted the brand with their activism, including inspirations from ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov, chef Hélène Darroze and famed Hollywood costumer designer, Colleen Atwood. Atwood and Turlington joined forces to design Christy’s limited-edition Citizens of Humanity T-shirt, which will be available online at the end of September at citizensofhumanity.com, with all proceeds benefiting Every Mother Counts.

  1. This video captures the beauty in solicitude. I have admired Christy for her aesthetic presence in photographs, but her dedication to not only Every Mother Counts, but also the individuals that are aided by her organization are vivid in this video. She shows a remarkable elegance while explaining what she and others do for these women. Thank you for posting this influential interview.
