Being a successful fashion blogger is so flush with perks that it’s difficult for some of us to imagine the hard work and personal talent required to stand out from the fray. Korean American fashion stylist Chriselle Lim’s sweet disposition, genuine sharing and distinctive taste make her a blogger of note in our opinion — her adorable daughter Chloe alone is worth the follow!
Chriselle has cultivated a world-class sense of style and a devoted audience in the seven years since launching her lifestyle blog, The Chriselle Factor. Here, we’ve asked the young mom, who recently launched her own content production company, CINC Studios, to share a few key lessons learned from her journey in our ‘What I’ve Learned’ series.
What I’ve learned about business:
It’s never about you, it’s about your team. You have to build a solid core team to do extraordinary work and to continue to grow year after year. Find people who are experts in their field. The only way I’ve been able to continue to grow my personal career along with my new production business, CINC Studios, is because of the amazing and talented people I have working with me day in and day out!
What I’ve learned about people:
There is more good in the world than bad. When you look for the good in people, you will usually find it!
What I’ve learned about myself:
I love and appreciate that I have to wear multiple hats during the day. Some days I have to play the boss, the talent, the creative director, the producer, the visionary, the friend and many more. It challenges me to have a different perspective, keep an open mind to fresh new ideas and continually think ahead. I love being challenged, and I thrive off of bettering myself every year.
What I’ve learned about self-care:
Self-care is essential to me and is one of the ways I bring sanity and peace back into my crazy, chaotic, creative life! I feel the most balanced when I take care of my mind, soul and body, so I set the intention to do things that make me feel great physically, like exercising, daily meditation, getting a facial once a month and a massage once a week.
What I’ve learned about life:
Life favors those who dream big, work hard and never give up. I also am a big believer in luck. Luck is not what people assume it to be; you don’t wake up one day and become “lucky.” As Brian Tracy once said, “I’ve found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances. Be more active. Show up more often.”
What I’ve learned about wellness:
Self-care and wellness go hand in hand. Wellness is a lifestyle; you have to make it a point to always be in tune with your body, from working out and eating well to feeding your soul.
