When we asked Hollywood’s top plant-based caterers, Haute Chefs LA, to handle the food for our recent CBD-themed party, we knew they’d rock it. Sure enough, the CBD-infused menu outdid our expectations, including lavender blueberry crostini with ricotta, thyme and honey; turmeric sweet potato chips; and grilled aubergine rolls with chamomile feta, basil and pine nuts.
If the idea of a cannabis-laced recipes starts triggering bad college memories, don’t fret. First and foremost, CBD won’t get you high — here are a few other CBD myths we’re debunking. Haute Chefs spiked each bite with just a few milligrams of CBD, which was a perfect amount to have us feeling sated, stress-free and grounded for our chat with Sagely’s founders and the breathwork session that followed.

Haute Chefs pulled inspiration directly from the ingredient labels, which includes chamomile, lavender, turmeric and of course plenty of ultra-healing, full-spectrum hemp CBD.
These gorgeous recipes from our event will actually reduce stress — both because it’s easy to make and because these little roll-ups are designed to chill you out. If you’re planning on hosting get-togethers this summer, this stress-busting recipe is as perfect as it gets.
Grilled Eggplant with Chamomile-CBD Feta, Basil + Pine Nuts
Ingredients:
1 pound Japanese eggplants (about 2-3)
extra virgin olive oil
sea salt and black pepper
¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons of ‘Chamomile & CBD’ infused French feta
¼ cup pine nuts, very lightly toasted
1 tablespoon of concentrated chamomile tea
Contents of 4 Sagely CBD + Stress Blend pills (2 eggplant garnish, 2 within the feta)
fresh basil leaves
fresh chamomile flowers for garnish
Directions:
Heat a grill (or pan) to medium-high. Trim ends of eggplants and cut lengthwise into ¼ inch thick slices. Brush both sides with oil and season generously with salt, pepper and contents of 2 Sagely CBD + Stress blend powder pills. Brush grill with oil and place the eggplant. Turning once, until soft and lightly charred – usually about 2 minutes each side. Let cool.
To make the chamomile concentrate: Bring 1/2 cup of water to boil. Drop in 4 tea bags of organic chamomile tea and let steep for 10 minutes.
To make the chamomile & CBD French Feta: Mix one tablespoon of the ‘chamomile concentrate’ with the French feta and the contents of 2 Sagely CBD pills. Continually folding and mixing in the ingredients until it is a smooth consistency.
Cut each eggplant slice in half crosswise. Divide chamomile feta and pine nuts evenly among slices, placing them on one end of each and gently pressing pine nuts into cheese to adhere. Roll up eggplant and secure with a cocktail skewer or toothpick. Garnish with chamomile flowers and basil.
CBD Lavender-Blueberry Ricotta Crostini
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups fresh organic blueberries
¼ cup filtered alkaline water
1 tsp raw apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp raw honey, plus extra for drizzling
pinch Himalayan salt and fresh ground pepper
5 ounces organic ricotta cheese, softened
1 baguette
2 Tbsp raw extra virgin olive oil
2 to 3 fresh sprigs of thyme, plus extra for garnish
12ea Sagely Naturals Tranquility capsules (opened)
8ea. fresh lavender sprigs
Directions:
Be sure to preheat the oven to 375 degrees. and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Slice the baguette into ½-inch slices, brush the tops with a little olive and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Place the pan in the oven cook for about 5 minutes or until very lightly browned. Watch them closely so they don’t burn. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
To make the CBD simple syrup, open 8 CBD capsules and add to the the pot, add the organic blueberries, fresh lavender sprigs, filtered alkaline water, one tablespoon of raw honey, and a pinch of salt and pepper to a small pot. Bring to a boil and let cook for about 4 minutes or until the blueberries begin to pop open and the liquid has slightly reduced. Transfer to a bowl to cool.
Separately, take the ricotta and fold in some chopped lavender, chopped thyme, 4ea. CBD capsules, salt and pepper and whip in a bowl. Now spread a thin layer of the ricotta on each piece of toasted bread.
To assemble the crostini, using a slotted spoon, top each piece with about a tablespoon of blueberries. Lightly drizzle each piece with honey.
Remove the tiny leaves from the sprigs of thyme & lavender, sprinkle over the top and use a touch more of the Sagely Naturals Tranquility capsules as garnish. Serve immediately.
