In five swift years, Anna and her husband Nathan have turned their spot-on style for tongue in cheek, too-charming-for-words illustrations into one of the most beloved stationery brands in the world. Rifle Paper Co., with their lush over-sized floral notebooks, hand-lettered stationery and custom Christmas cards, have captured the hearts of a generation of women caught between their love for the notion of that classic, buttoned up, ‘Martha Stewart said to send thank you notes’ life and the fresh, modern, less-is-more simplicity that sums up the twothousandandteens.

Like most of our favorite brands, Rifle Paper straddles this transitional time just perfectly – definitively, even. Mixing the old with the new while cutting out the false-feeling and extraneous is a trick only the best brands pull off well. Receiving a Rifle-made Christmas card in the mail gives us the thrill of old-fashioned romance with a little modern-edged surprise.

We asked Rifle’s Anna to join in for this year’s Wishlist series to tell us what she’s hoping to receive under the tree, what’s shes planning on giving (temporary tattoos!) and what she’ll be reflecting upon while cuddling by the fire this season. Here’s Anna…

I've been looking for the perfect...

Gift for my dad. He’s a tough one.

Favorite places for holiday shopping:

I have boys on my shopping list, so I’ve been loving the selection at Kaufmann Mercantile. Terrain and Steven Alan are also great.

In my stocking I hope to find...

Something edible.

The gift I'm giving everyone:

Something personal.

Tradition I love the most:

Opening one present on Christmas Eve and enjoying the evening with Nathan… usually with White Christmas playing and a nice fire.

Person I splurge on:

My parents.

On my list every year:

A cookbook.

The children in my life are getting...

My nieces are getting loads of temporary tattoos and my nephew is getting something to get his hands dirty.

The best gift I ever received:

A vintage watch from my dad.

I always look forward to a gift from...

My little brother. He’s surprisingly great at gifts!

Wrap it up:

I love unique wrapping papers, and I like to make gifts personal with handmade gift tags.

Favorite gift as a child:

This giant teddy bear that was the same size as me. I think I dragged that thing around with me everywhere for a year.

It's not the holidays without:

Family.

How I'm giving back:

One of the charities Nathan and I support is Charity: Water. We’re looking forward to supporting another water project through them this year.
