5 Trends We Want To Hate But Can’t

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT. Then did it again, and again and again. Even in wellness, some trends become so ubiquitous that we just can’t.

Until we can – over and over. (Millennial pink, we just can’t quit you!)

We like to think of ourselves as more than ‘basic’, but here are five fatigue-worthy trends that just won’t go away – and we just can’t over. Feeling us? Read through then let us know your thoughts, opinions, complaints etc. in the comments below…

Kale|We’re not quite sure how this boring, but nutrient-rich brassica ever became a trend in the first place, but one thing is for sure – its popularity has served us well. The ultimate “dark, leafy green” can be found on menus everywhere, which we love, but when it started popping up in chocolate bars and face cleansers, we had to ask ourselves: how much of a good thing is simply too much?

Caftans|There are certain “natural chic” looks that we and many of our wellness pro friends have rocked over the years, but has this one reached its peak? We love the easy one piece for so many reasons, especially come summer, but we’re wondering if the caftan has become a caftannot? We’re not about to kick it out of our closets, but maybe it’s time to tone it down.

Millennial Pink|The new-new black! It’s a fact that anything draped in this pretty shade of pink gets instant 2017 association and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t love the buzzy hue, but we’re drowning in it. Send help!

Juice Cleansing|Like kale, the juice cleanse trend both mystifies us and delights us. We’re happy to see as many people as possible embrace this traditional detox method, but how it reached statement bag status we’ll never understand. We’re over the hype, but we’ll never stop drinking it green – specifically, for a few days a season to get the maximum benefits of a good old fashioned cleanse.

Superfoods|Literally, every vegetable has been called a superfood at this point. We’re annoyed that the term has been so watered down, but still stand by our obsession with including the most powerful nutrients we can get our hands on into our diets! Superfoods like spirulina, cacao and turmeric may flash and fade in fashion, but we’ll always have a soft spot for all three.

What do you love-hate-love that’s trending now?
