Raw Chocolate Tahini Date Bites To Make Tonight

We’re in the final stretch of holiday season with a few more big, celebratory moments on the way. For a last minute DIY dessert idea, we love these little raw bites made with this chocolate tahini  — and yes, you read that right… chocolate tahini.

We’ll take our tahini in pretty much any form, but there’s something about this sesame-cocoa combination that feels extra luxurious, and indulgent while still qualifying as clean eats. Discover a few more ways we love to use tahini here then grab the Soom sisters’ chocolate tahini bites below.

Chocolate Tahini Date Bites
Serves 7-10

Ingredients:

2 cups dried dates
1 cup walnut pieces
1 1/2 cups coconut flakes
1/2 cup Chocolate Soom

Directions:

Blend dates in food processor; remove and place in large mixing bowl.

Blend walnuts in food processor; remove and add to dates.

Mix walnuts, dates and add 1 cup coconut flakes.

Add Chocolate Soom to the mixture, stirring until ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Scoop a tablespoon of the mixture into your palm; roll into a small ball. Pour remaining coconut flakes onto a cutting board and roll each ball around until covered.

Chill in the refrigerator, covered in wax paper until ready to eat.

    • If you click on the chocolate tahini link it takes you to a site where you can buy It, It doesn’t seem very healthy though.

  4. Is sugar really considered clean??? What did you guys not realize that there is cane sugar in that chocolate soom product you are selling? ?

  5. A quick google search indicates that Chocolate Soom is a food product consisting of tahini, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder. It sounds a lot healthier to just add tahini and cocoa powder so you don’t get the added refined sugar of the Chocolate Soom. The dates in the recipe will probably add plenty of sweetness!
