Rachel Zoe’s Fashion Week Survival Guide: 7 Tips To Live Well On The Go

Whether you’re headed to Fashion Week yourself this year, or simply glued to all the outlets blasting the latest looks, you’re bound to have caught on that Fashion Week can be a bit of a fashion frenzy – an absolute style blitz! Editors, stylists, designers and buyers alike zip around town like mad men (and women) jam-packing a month’s worth of events into a single week.

No one knows about this bi-annual blitz better than stylist, editor and designer du jour Rachel Zoe! We asked Rachel to dish on how she does it without losing her cool, her mind – or her lipcolor. Naturally, this style icon had a lot to say on the subject!

Rachel’s own Spring ’14 collection shows September 11th in New York. In the meantime, you can snap up pieces like this perfect elbow patch sweater from Nordstrom to stay stylishly cozy with all of your September issues! Rachel Zoe’s Fashion Week Survival Guide

In my bag:

In the Montana tote from my own collection, I typically have a few Kind fruit and nut bars, a pack of Tatcha face blotters, lipstick, compact, and a luminizing concealer – perfect for on-the-go touch ups from the office to dinner.

Perfect Pick Me Up:

A decaf Americano with a drop of organic half and half – it’s the perfect drink with my granola, berries and Greek yogurt.

Light Bite on the go:

The Mercer Lobby Bar is perfect for a light lunch or quick coffee between shows.

At My Side:

My son Skyler.

Quick Fix:

I keep Byron’s Spirulina Hairspray and Skyn Iceland eye gels with me at all times.

A pop of color:

The deepest red I can find for nails, usually Sheswai’s Winesnob.

How I hydrate:

I drink lots of water!

On my Lips:

I love Tarte’s lip tint in Envy for every season and any occasion.

Take a break:

I spend as much time with my son and husband as I can. I live for the nights we can stay in, order take-out and watch movies in our hotel room.

Go-to night treatment:

Arcona Magic Dry Ice is super hydrating and exactly what I need after a long day of New York Fashion Week show preparations.
