This recipe from private chef Paola Petrella of Two Peas makes an incredible healthy breakfast and can be served as a light dessert for anyone looking to curb sugar cravings in a healthy way. Pressed Juicery’s Apple Lemon Ginger juice adds the bright zing needed to sweeten up this otherwise mellow breakfast porridge. Its also adds an extra dose of freshly juiced nutrition that will surprise you.

  • Sweet Potato Porridge with Apple Lemon Ginger, Serves 2 people

  • Ingredients:

    1 orange yam (peel & cut into large pieces)
    1 white sweet potato (peel & cut into large pieces)
    2 cups almond milk
    1 cup Pressed Juicery apple lemon ginger juice
    ¼ cup agave syrup
    1 orange (peel and segment, save the rest)
    pinch of salt

  • Instructions:
    • In a sauce pot, place the sweet potato, almond milk and squeezed remaining juice from segmented orange.
    • Let it come to a boil and then bring to low simmer until sweet potatoes are completely soft. Turn of heat and add Pressed Juicery apple lemon ginger juice, agave and pinch of salt.
    • Let it cool for a couple of minutes, then place content into a blender and pulse until smooth.
    • Pour into bowl and garnish with segmented oranges and a bit more of the agave syrup.
    • Enjoy hot or cold!
