Sweat, Then Sip: Try This ModelFIT Workout + Juice Combo At Home

this month, in honor of our Guest Editor, model Lily Aldridge, (who’s been known to visit this studio) we’re sharing wellness mini-sessions from Justin Gelband, the co-founder of modelFIT. This NYC studio has both top models and fitness fanatics sculpting and sweating their way to runway-worthy bodies. Along with co-founder and nutritionist Vanessa Packer (check out her lifestyle site bonberi!), Justin has turned modelFIT into a premier East Coast studio top bodies are flocking to for unique, individualized health programs.

The studio has five different fitness class formats. Last week, we shared Justin’s two-step abs exercise (that requires absolutely zero crunches!) based on the Sculpting class. Justin Gelband’s 3-Step Dance Cardio
Master the movement, repeat on end to Beyonce tune of your choice…

Step One

Stand with your legs hip-width distance apart, knees slightly bent and arms bent at chest level- palms facing out.

Step Two

As you shift all your weight to your right leg, straighten your left leg, and point the foot. At the same time, straighten and raise your right arm at 45 degrees while extending your left arm out horizontally.

Step Three

Bring arms back to starting point, shift weight to center, and reverse sides. Repeat 15 times.

Serves 1


2 medium red beets
1 large carrot
2 stalks of celery
A generous handful of spinach
A 1-inch knob of fresh ginger
Half a lemon
A couple of springs of cilantro, mint and parsley to taste (optional)
Sprinkle cayenne pepper (optional)
