Loaded with skin-loving ingredients, this energizing beauty smoothie is a delicious way to get your #nofilter glow on.
The pretty little recipe comes from nutritionist and cookbook author, Kimberly Snyder, whose healthy baking recipes have us leaning hard into cozy weekends in. We love the satisfying blend of healthy fats, anti-inflammatory add-ins and hydrating coconut water for breakfast a few times a week — add a scoop of your fave lean protein powder for an even bigger boost.
What if you felt so great about yourself that you were okay posting pics to social media without tweaks or filters? Well, we might not be totally filter-free all the time (including me!), but we can drink our way to beautiful skin and higher natural energy. And this is all in part with working on our deeper self-acceptance practices. Remember, it’s great to do both in tandem.
This smoothie is loaded with vitamin C, and it’s full of healthy, nourishing beauty fats and antioxidants. Not to mention the benefits of the blood-purifying turmeric added. Plus, it’s delicious! Try it mid-morning or afternoon, and remember to drink it on an empty stomach for optimal digestion.
No-Filter-Needed-Selfie Smoothie

1 3⁄4 cups fresh or frozen mango chunks
1⁄2 ripe avocado, pitted
1 Tbsp chia gel

1⁄4 tsp ground turmeric
1 Tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves
Pinch of sea salt

To make chia gel, combine 3 Tbsp chia seeds with 1 1/2 cups slightly warm water in a glass jar. Let sit for 10 minutes. Store any extra in the fridge for future use.
