Green Goddess Guide: Lisa Goldfaden

Lisa Goldfaden has followed in her father’s footsteps to help turn back the hand’s of time, one face at a time. Quite the feat when you live in the UV-drenched Sunshine State where holding on to young-looking skin is extra challenging. Lisa’s father, Dr. Gary Goldfaden, is a top dermatologist who took his love for improving patient’s skin to the next level when he developed his namesake, all-natural skin care line Goldfaden M.D. It wasn’t long after the products came to market that Lisa fell so in love with the products herself that she decided to join in on the family business.

Being a skin care pro herself and spending so much time on the road checking out what’s going on the world of beauty, we wanted to know a few of Lisa’s top secrets for her (perfect) hair and glowing complexion…

Can’t travel without…

GOLDFADEN MD Radical Difference Serum. 100% hyaluronic acid, cherry extract and organic red tea, hydrate and brighten skin, while red tea helps to soothe and alleviate inflammation and skin irritation. This product has changed my skin and it is the only thing I wear before, during and after a flight!

Beautifying snack/meal:

For snacks, I like Chia Bars and coconut water. For a beautifying meal, I eat plain grilled salmon with steamed broccoli. Broccoli is full of vitamin D and helps to detoxify the body. Salmon is rich in omega-3s and makes my skin glow and my insides are happy too.

Obsession of the moment:

I’m obsessed with haircare right now. I was introduced to Philip B. Russian Amber Imperial Shampoo. This has changed the texture of my hair by adding thickness. The smell is what gets me. It is intoxicating.

The product that changed my skin…

Sunday Riley’s Juno Oil.

On little sleep I rely on…

Water and stretching.

In a pinch I…

Use coconut oil for everything and anything. I use it on my face, body and hair. I also eat it and cook with it. This is a miracle oil and it seems to cure all sorts of ailments.

Always in my evening clutch:

Sara Happ Lip Slip. Hydrating with a touch of sparkle. Looks great alone or under gloss.

Beautifying drink:

The juice shop down the street from me has a juice especially for the liver, which has carrot, celery and asparagus. This makes me glow.

For ultra-glamorous effect:

I apply two coats of mascara and line the inside of my eyes, top and bottom. I also apply BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector for an ethereal look.

Perfect pout:

To make my lips look fuller and puffier, I will exfoliate them first then use a hot towel to get off any dry skin. Then apply a hydrating treatment and then my lipstick or gloss. I’m very into a dark wine-colored lip right now.

Weirdest beauty habit:

I bite my lips to make them fuller before I apply my lipgloss.

In the shower I keep:

A loofa, three different exfoliation products, shave cream and four different types of shampoos and conditioners.

Once a month I…

Try to organize my closet.

After a rough weekend…

I go to spin class.

Most treasured beauty tip…

From my mom, “Be yourself because that is beautiful.”

For glowing skin…

Exfoliate with GOLDFADEN MD Doctor’s Scrub and drink lots of water.

My go-to DIY:

I trim my own hair.
