Giveaway Monday: Daphne Oz’s The Dorm Room Diet

All April, we’ve had the good fortune to have Daphne Oz as our guest editor. She’s given us so many tidbits of wisdom and advice about healthy living, balancing it all, and following your passion—and she’s not done yet! For the final day of April, and her guest editorship here at The Chalkboard, Daphne is giving one lucky reader a signed copy of her best-selling book, The Dorm Room Diet. It’s a tome that’s all about how to stay healthy, yes, when you first go to college, but there is so much universal advice and information in this book, you don’t just have to pick it up if you’re en route to university. We can’t wait for you to read it if you haven’t already yet—and did we mention it’s simple, too? Here’s how you win:

Just tell us in the comments of this story your favorite advice about eating healthy, and the answer that has us “aha”-ing the most will win this superb guidebook from the lovely Daphne Oz!

  1. Cutting out sweets is hard, but after awhile you stop craving them. Just have to fight through the cravings. It really does work. Also do not starve yourself it will only give you the opposite effect of what you want.

  3. My favorite advice – Eat as much as you can of things that come from the ground, don’t be afraid to try new dishes outside your “box” and you will be amazed at how GOOD good food can be! (Says the Michigan girl who is now not intimidated by Indian or African dishes :))
