Belly-flattening ingredients like fresh mint leaves, coconut water and lime make this recipe taste more like a beach cocktail than anything else — which is why we love it.

    We frequently opt for fruitless smoothies to keep our daily sugar intake low, but this papaya-packed blend is perfect for hot summer days at home. Raw, mineral-rich and refreshing, we plan on sipping this belly-soothing smoothie whenever the temperature spikes.

    The FLAT BELLY SMOOTHIE
    Serves 1

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 cup coconut water
    1/2 frozen banana
    1/2 cup frozen papaya
    1 Tbsp coconut butter or oil
    1-inch knob of ginger
    juice from 1/2 a lime
    garnish with fresh mint as desired

    DIRECTIONS:

    Blend, garnish and enjoy!
