we’re packing smart and paring down thanks to this genius tip by Free + Native’s Lacy Phillips. Pack up just one superfood powder for travel, instead of filling your carry-on with pills and potions – we love Lacy’s personal superfood blend for clients…

There used to be a point in time where I’d pack up a woven basket full of 10,000 superfoods, herbs, pink salts, and anything else in my wellness pantry. Then I realized that while traveling for the holidays, or any other time, it’s much easier to strip my normal regime down to the barebones and create my very own custom blend. Since then I’ve begun recommending this idea to others too – it empowers us to create our own blends of protein or superfood powder exactly the way we want it. One scoop blended with water, warm tea, or your nut mylk of choice – and voila!

Here is the recipe I’ve been creating for my clients. Feel free to get creative and customize your very own.

The ONE-SCOOP superood TRAVEL BLEND

Ingredients:

1 cup Tocos
1 cup protein powder of choice (we’re loving Nutiva hemp protein!)
1 cup chia seeds
½ cup moringa
½ cup pine pollen (check out our favorite, here!)
½ cup reishi
½ cup ashwagandha
1 cup flax seed
A few dashes of cinnamon

Directions:

Blend it all together in a jar with a spoon so you can scoop 1-2 tablespoons into a blender.

Feel free to use gynostemma warm tea and sweetener of choice as your base for a warm tonic. Or use a nut mylk of choice for a cool tonic.

The travel blend BENEFITS…

TOCOS – To keep skin bright and happy.

PROTEIN POWDER – For protein after workouts.

CHIA – For extra omega support and lean protein.

MORINGA – To alkalize and include copious amounts of minerals.

PINE POLLEN – For hormonal and circulation support.

REISHI – For immunity and adaptability.

ASHWAGANDHA – For adaptability, happy energy and deeper sleep.

FLAX SEED – To stay regular with fiber and for extra omega support.

  1. I love this! Thanks Lacey! And when you are at home, just replace the word cup with tablespoon and scoop at right in the blender right? 🙂
