Food Poisoning 101: Trust Us + Bookmark This Link

The experience of Food poisoning is something one never forgets. It happens rarely, but when it does there’s nothing most of us wouldn’t do to alleviate the symptoms.

We turn to apple cider vinegar for wellness solutions of every size and shape, especially those that are digestion related, but we’d never pin-pointed it for exactly this use. Below, Lacy Phillips of Free + Native Journal is passing on this book-markable, pinnable recipe for a simple, too-good-to-be-true elixir to calm distressed tummies during those darkest moments…

Simple Food Poisoning Elixir

One part water
One part Apple Cider Vinegar
One part Activated Charcoal

Mix all ingredients together in a cup and sip slowly. Repeat every 30 minutes until symptoms are controlled.

If one isn’t able to keep much down, then I would suggest one good dose of activated charcoal.

If you are looking for relief, a hot bath with mineral flakes and baking soda are wonderful to help you sweat it out as well as calm your incredibly overtaxed nervous system. However, if you are not able to keep any fluids down, I don’t suggest this bath due to dehydration.
Otherwise, keep your heart dreaming of tomorrow because this too shall pass.
