This week is full of frosted and chocolate-dipped temptations, but we’ve found three amazing chocolate treats that are – wait for it – good for you! Who says chocolate has to be a splurge?
The bottom line with all three of these finger-licking confections is that your body is absorbing all of the major antioxidants and minerals in chocolate without the heavy load of calories normally present from the added cream, sugar, butter or flour in the average chocolate dessert. And trust us – these goodies are no sacrifice. Each one is an indulgence that can keep up with the best that Valentine’s Day sweets you’ve eaten this week!

Crio Bru Cavella roasted cocoa – 1lb bag, $11.97
More like coffee than hot chocolate, roasted cocoa is brewed just like its caffeinated counterpart. Throw the insanely fragrant grounds into a French press for a completely different chocolate experience. Drink it black for a bittersweet pick-me-up – cocoa contains mildly stimulating theobromine – or add a little nut milk and honey for an afternoon luxury that’s good for your heart in more ways than one.
