Collagen and rose essence might sound exotic, but, thanks to frozen cauliflower rice and berries, this smoothie was actually designed for speed.
Integrative nutritionist, Jennie Miremadi recently shared these tips for making a healthy breakfast on the go and this smoothie is part of her plan. With fiber from cauliflower, healthy fats from flax seeds and almond butter, collagen for protein, and rose essence for all the feels, this breakfast smoothie is a must-try and a major win.
Strawberry Collagen Rose Smoothie
Ingredients:
10 oz. unsweetened organic almond milk
1 cup frozen organic cauliflower rice
1/2 cup frozen organic strawberries
1 tsp essence of rose petals or rose water
1 scoop collagen peptides
1 Tbsp almond butter
1 Tbsp flax seed
stevia to taste
Directions:
Add cauliflower rice, strawberries, and flax seed to a container and place in the freezer overnight.
Pour almond milk, essence of rose petals and stevia into a mason jar and place in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, add cauliflower rice-strawberry mixture, almond milk mixture, collagen peptides and almond butter to a Vitamix or other high-speed blender and blend until emulsified. Adjust stevia to taste. Pour into a mason jar and enjoy!
