7 Keys To Feeling Vibrantly Well

How to jumpstart sluggish system:

Doing a fast or cleanse. I often do a fast that’s just bone broth and fresh vegetable juice.

Best way to balance gut daily:

Have some bone broth. I try to make a big batch every week, and I’ll use it in soups or drink it straight. When I don’t have any on hand, I’ll add Bone Broth Protein powder to my morning superfood smoothie (1 cup coconut milk, 1 cup frozen berries and 1 scoop Bone Broth Protein powder). Either way, I know the bone broth will work to heal my gut lining, thanks to the amino acids it contains, while also regulating my digestive system. Finally, bone broth helps to maintain the balance of good and bad bacteria in the gut, which boosts my immune system and keeps me healthy.

How to tell if your gut is 'off':

By your bowel habits. If you have constipation or diarrhea, loose stools, gas or bloating, that’s by far the best way to gauge the health of your gut and digestive system.

Favorite ways to lift a down mood:

First, try some essential oils like ylang ylang and orange oil. Put a couple drops in your hand and take some deep breaths, or try rubbing them on the back of your neck. Then, get outside. Take a walk in nature or do a quick outdoor workout.

Most important tip for glowing skin:

Bone broth and essential oils daily! For skin health, I really love tea tree oil (also called melaleuca) for its antimicrobial and antifungal properties, and lavender oil for its antioxidant power, ability to reduce dark spots and scars and heal dry skin. Both are great for acne, too. Just add a few drops to a carrier oil like coconut and apply directly to the affected area, or you can mix up my homemade Honey Face Wash (which incorporates tea tree oil).

Favorite meditation practice:

It’s what I call my spiritual triathlon. Every morning when I wake up, I spend the first five minutes in praise, being grateful to God for all of the wonderful blessings in my life. Then I spend five minutes reading something that’s growth oriented, whether that’s a personal growth book, Bible or some kind of devotional. And then I spend five minutes in prayer or meditation. In total, it’s just 15 minutes, but it’s really effective. It’s something I’ve done for a while and something I recommend my team members and patients do as well.

Favorite nourishing lunch recipe:

Probably grilled salmon with cooked, mixed vegetables (including cauliflower and carrots) and hummus.
