If your nutrition struggle has everything to do with coffee shop pastries and other sugary breakfast bombs, these smoothie recipes might be the best thing to happen to you all summer.

We first ran these delicious recipes from smoothie scientistKelly LeVeque a few years ago, but since Kelly has recently launched her own protein powders we thought we’d update these recipes and bring them back to the top of your in-box!

Each smoothie recipe below uses Kelly’s Fab Four principle: include clean protein, good fat, fiber and greens with every meal. SWEET CARROT CAKE SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS:

1.5 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 serving of vanilla protein 
1 Tbsp flax seeds
1 Tbsp almond butter
1 cup chopped raw carrots
1/2 Tbsp Ceylon cinnamon

DARK CHOCOLATE CRUNCH SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups of unsweetened almond milk
1 serving of chocolate protein 
1/2 small avocado
1 serving raw fiber powder
1 Tbsp raw cacao powder
1 Tbsp cacao nibs, reserve 1 tsp for toppings
1/2 tsp he shou wu (optional)

COCONUT CREME PIE SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS:

1.5 cups of unsweetened coconut milk
1 serving vanilla protein 
1 tsp MCT oil
2 Tbsp coconut butter
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp pearl powder (optional)
top with coconut flakes
