Growing up seaside in Malibu has made Carson Meyer the ultimate California girl. The twenty-something-year-old actress learned to make wellness work for her early on, creating a holistically healthy life that’s sustainable because it’s simply part of who she is — through it doesn’t hurt that she has stylish older sister, Jennifer Meyer to help guide the way.

This sparkling blonde makes it all look easy, partly because she likes to keep it simple: Carson starts her morning with meditation and ACV, loves her avo and eggs for breakfast, and has recently started making her own homemade sugar scrubs, C and the Moon. They smell like cookie dough in the best way (share many of the same ingredients too), and are selling out by the giant jar-full.

If you love exploring the morning routines of wellness nerds as much as we do, step inside our morning in Malibu with Carson Meyer below…

My alarm is set for…

8:30 a.m.

I can’t start my morning without…

Breakfast! But first… apple cider vinegar with Fountain of Truth Water.

Breakfast is normally…

An apple with Bio-K before a workout; eggs with avocado, sauerkraut and mixed greens, post-workout.

Favorite morning beverage is…

I like to pretend I am not a coffee drinker but I guess if you drink iced coffee every morning, you are a coffee drinker. I am really into Wylder probiotic coffee and, of course, Bulletproof.

Daily uniform this spring…

High-waisted Madewell jeans, cozy old T-shirt, colorful flats and some Jennifer Meyer jewelry.

My favorite moment in the morning is…

Cuddling in bed.

On the best mornings I…

Make my bed and go straight to a workout class.

I start working by…

Making a list.

Morning are normally filled with…

Gratitude.

I get my creative juices flowing by…

Jumping in the ocean.

Healthiest daily habit…

20 minutes of meditation, first thing in the morning.

I’m most obsessed with this currently…

Lily Lolo Mascara and my homemade brown-sugar body scrub! I love it because I don’t have to moisturize after the shower!

I’m usually listening to…

Music by my best girlfriends, Allie Crow Buckley and Maggie Rodgers.

My favorite morning distraction…

Chatting on the phone.

Always thinking about lunch at…

My current mantra:

“Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity.” – Lau Tzu

The recipe I’m making:

As a birth doula, I am always thinking of a good wellness recipe for new mamas. Right now I am mixing up a floral Epsom salt bath for my clients.
