East, West, whatever: there’s so much to love happening in wellness on both coasts that it’s hard for us to pick a side. We’re obsessed with the way long distance BFF’s Jessica Jones (MS, RD, CDE) and Wendy Lopez (MS, RD) are flaunting their healthy lifestyles on both coasts. Jessica: There are too many to name! But I love the Temescal Farmer’s Market in Oakland.

Wendy: Parkchester Farmers Market in the Bronx.

Jessica: Butternut squash.

Jessica: Chopped almonds, beans, matcha.

Wendy: Cayenne pepper, ground flaxseed, sesame seed oil.

Jessica: Redwood Regional Park in Oakland.

Wendy: Sedona, Arizona.

Jessica: Hands down, Berkeley Bowl in Berkeley, California.

Wendy: Trader Joes.

Jessica: Vegan doughnut from Berkeley Bowl.

Wendy: Pizza.

Jessica: Cafe Romanat (Ethiopian cuisine).

Wendy: True Food Kitchen.

Best place to get a good workout:

Jessica: God’s gym.

Wendy: The local park.

Favorite local experience living in your city:

Jessica: The beautiful landscapes and amazing fresh produce.

Wendy: Walking through Bronx Little Italy and tasting cheeses, olive oils and gelato.
