Brooklyn’s S.W. Basics keeps it simple. Their amazing line of skincare, with products like their 3-ingredient cleanser and vegan lip balms, have even Gweneth swooning. this all-natural beauty DIY follows suit with just a handful of simple ingredients that will bring relief after that extra hour at the pool or al fresco lunch gone wrong! Here are a few tips from S.W. Basics owner Adina Gregor on why natural solutions are best – especially when it comes to delicate, sun-burned skin…

There is literally no reason to use over-the-counter sunburn relief products. I say that, not only because the recipe below is so simple, but because virtually anything you buy at the store will have a ton of alcohol in it, which is basically the worst thing you can put on a sunburn. That, plus the yucky preservatives will leave your skin drier, itchier, burnier, and begging you to stop being so mean! Rosewater, aloe juice, and apple cider vinegar are all so soothing that you can use any of them on their own.
