    Gwyneth Paltrow tracy anderson method

Gwyneth Paltrow is many things – an Oscar winner, founder of the GOOP empire, and the lead fan girl of fitness guru, Tracy Anderson’s many celebrity devotees.

Tracy has helped shape some of the best bodies in Hollywood, as well as most of the best mere mortal bodies we know here in LA. Her signature dance-inspired method is shaped by two decades of scientific research about the female physique.

The Tracy Anderson Method is all about working small muscle groups through repetitive high-rep movements. The classes at her studios in Manhattan, the Hamptons, Los Angeles, and online through her streaming sessions, change every week to keep bringing results and avoid hitting plateaus.

Tracy and Gwyneth started working together after Gwyneth gave birth to her second child, Moses, in 2006 and was struggling to lose 20-pounds of baby weight. After one session with Tracy, Gwyneth was hooked.

During our recent interview with Tracy, she share with us the story of Gwyneth’s results. “Years ago when Gwyneth Paltrow first started with me she lost 11 inches in her body after the first 10 sessions. She did it 10 days in a row and that was the result of it. You can actually see significant difference in how your body looks and feels after a full 10 days.”

Stunned by the results, Gwyneth hired Tracy as her personal trainer and eventually the pair went into business together promoting Tracy’s magic methods to the world. While weight loss is a natural byproduct of the work, the motivation is more about being healthy, strong and balanced in a sustainable way — to feel like we’re tapping into our best inner and outer selves.

    1. Yup. Die hard Tracy streaming fanatic over here. Her ability to sculpt my body and provide new content weekly that I actually LOVE doing is unmatched…I post my progress and daily workouts on @pipergreylife

    2. I have autoimmune arthritis, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis; herniated cervical disks and lumbar. I have not exercised regularly in years though I am very active. 5’5 132lb. Can I start with the beginner class or is there a pre-beginner option:)

    3. It is NOT an easy workout at All (coming from an athlete!)….and you have to work up to being able to do all the repetitions, but the results are better than anything I’ve done in my 51 years. I love it and my Fiancé always comments how quick he noticed results….mostly my flat shapeless booty becoming perky!! I love Tracy Anderson & her Method!

    5. The workout gets rave reviews, however, the customer service /order fulfillment component of the business could use a tune up. Found the experience quite frustrating – hopefully things have improved.

    6. I tried many different workouts in my life… 43. TA changed my entire body. Tough, challenging and definitely not boring, the best. I would recommend to everyone who wants dream body.

    7. First of all, NO ONE “transforms” their body in 10 days. Unless you mean “starve themselves for 10 days and end up noticeably thinner” or “rebounded slightly by regrowing previously-existing muscle”. This article is an exercise in inanity. “lost 11 inches in her body after the first 10 sessions”. What does that even mean? “In her body?” Really? What is that: Lost 2 inches of brain tissue; 4 inches of breast; lost 5 inches by adding various other areas — and completely ignoring whether it was fat or lean tissue?

    8. I paid for the TA videos and then I had to pay for a physical therapist. TA is definitely for those who already have an exercise regimen. What is missing from the market is a professional who targets those who are middle-aged and need to learn to incorporate exercise for future health and can do more than chair yoga.
