    Smoothie Solutions: Berry-Rich Skin-Saver Smoothie

    The Solution: Diets heavy in antioxidants help combat free radicals and promote collagen stimulation, preventing wrinkles and other signs of wear and tear. Berries rich in antioxidants are also a great way to control blood sugar. Overindulgence in sugar can lead to redness of the skin and an overall lackluster complexion. Omega 3, proven to fight inflammation, and vitamins E and C, known especially for their dermal-boosting properties, are all found in this skin-saving smoothie.

    Berry-Rich Skin Saver Smoothie

    Ingredients:

    1/2 cup blueberries
    1/2 cup pitted cherries
    3-5 strawberries, depending on size and freshness
    1/2 avocado, peeled and pitted
    1 scoop chocolate protein powder of your choice
    2 tsp ground flaxseed
    1 tsp chia seeds
    water or ice to thin, as needed (if using frozen fruit, ice may be unnecessary)

    Directions:

    Place all ingredients in a powerful blender and blend to desired consistency. Enjoy!
