It’s usually the new-and-improved workouts, studios, and machines that top the trend charts – think trampoline fitness, super-powered Pilates, and drumming your way to a better bod. But then there are those classics, like yoga or running, that find their way into the spotlight and suddenly become hot all over again! The latest fitness craze to take off doesn’t involve anything but a pair of gloves and a punching bag. Yup, boxing is back, and it’s attracting a whole new fan base: supermodels.

From Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid to Kendall Jenner and Adriana Lima, it just takes one glance at the Instagram accounts of the top models to see that boxing is the runway world’s fitspiration of choice. Studios like Gotham Gym NYC and Prevail Los Angeles have become the new fitness hotspots for celeb clientele who’d prefer to punch it out rather than hit the gym. But if you’re thinking this is just another fly-by-night trend made famous by long-legged pretty faces, you should probably think again.
