Lalah Delia’s zeitgeisty new book is a collection of prompts and poems to elevate our vibration — and we are here for it. Lalah is a spiritual writer, spiritual creative, wellness educator and certified spiritual practitioner on a mission to fire up our vibrational energy so we can all just live our best lives, already.
Turning the pages of this beautiful book feels like taking part in a sacred offering. Lalah’s words at once feel vast and deeply intimate—and this is by design. Lalah’s hope is to lift the collective vibration by reaching each and every one of us. One by one. Page by page. Vibrate Higher Daily invites us to tune in and turn on our highest energy vibes. We are thrilled to debut the first On My Bookshelf of the new decade with Lalah Delia. Take a peek at what inspires the modern thought-leader who is inspiring us…
“There is another way of being in the world.
There is a better way to exist, rise, move beyond and take our power back.”
– Lalah Delia, Vibrate Higher Daily
Your new book in one sentence: A guide to help you navigate the world through vibration and your power.
Three other books currently on your bookshelf: Meditations of The Heart by Howard Thurman; Tending to The Wild by M. Kat Anderson; Interfaith Ministry Handbook by Matt Sanders
Book you’d Give a newbie to self-care + wellness: My book Vibrate Higher Daily: Live Your Power! It’s a powerful companion, guide and support system for any rookie or vet.
Book for a deeper dive on self-care: Along with my book I’d recommend The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy. These cover all the grounds!
Favorite book of all time? Oh wow! What genre?
Fiction: The Color Purple by Alice Walker
Historical/biography: The Souls of Black Folk by WEB DuBois
Psychology/philosophy: The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy
Poetry: Essential Rumi by Coleman Barks
Religion: No Mud No Lotus by Thich Nhat Hanh
Spirituality: Jesus and The Disinherited by Howard Thurman
Meditation: Inward Journey by Howard Thurman and Listening to Your Life by Fredrick Buechner
First book you read as a child + loved: Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. I get wonderfully lost in that book every time.
What you hope your book accomplishes for others: My intention with my book is for it to support individuals and communities in vibrating higher daily and living their power. Navigating the world through vibration and your personal higher-power changes the game—it heals, it renews and it enhances our overall quality of life, work, environment and being in the world. It sets us free to be our highest potential selves and world.
Do you recommend journaling or anything else after reading your book? No, but I do recommend reading empowering parts of your favorites books or reciting affirmations right before you go to sleep and shortly after you wake up. The subconscious mind is the most re-programmable at these times, which supports lasting change and impact.
Favorite reading resource? Do tell: Zen Mountain Monastery Prison Project, San Francisco Zen Center, and The Buddhist Association of the United States Prison Program all donate mindfulness books to incarcerated individuals seeking to learn and dive deeper into zen and mindfulness practice.
Best hack for making time to read: Put on the sounds of nature. Choose the element that resonates the most with you currently. This is a great reading hack in my life. And a great writing hack too! Nature carries us.
Books you’re planning to read this year: The Physician Within You: Medicine for the Millennium by Gladys Taylor McGarey; The Healing Wisdom of Africa: Finding Life Purpose Through Nature, Ritual, and Community by Malidoma Patrice Somé; Healing and the Mind by Bill Moyers
Excerpt from your book that you love: “If you are outgrowing who you’ve been, you are right on schedule. Keep evolving.”
