Hiking In California: Our Fave Trails From North To South
For The Whole Family: Los Liones

Bond with the family, chat with old friends, or simply enjoy getting some sun in the canyons of the Los Liones Trail right off of the Pacific Palisades. After 1.3 miles, the trail evens out at a clearing that overlooks not only the Pacific Palisades, but Santa Monica, the Palos Verdes peninsula, Catalina Island and the wide open Pacific. The round trip is just shy of three miles - strenuous enough to break a sweat, but easy enough that the kids will be asking to go back tomorrow.

Trailhead Location: Los Liones Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90272

“Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!” Dr. Seuss  was on to something: every day is a perfect day to move mountains. But if you’d prefer to scale them as well, we’re looking no further than our own backyard to bring you the very best of the West when it comes to hiking in California.

First date? Strapped for time? Seeking a thrill? There’s a hike for that…

  1. I recently hiked in Santa Anita and we made our way over a few river crossings to this waterfall where we ate our picnic in awesomeness . I will never forget the scent of the forest, which was perfumed with sweet pine sap, wild sage and fresh earth! As a matter of fact, I’m working on a perfume in honor of the raw beauty of the California forest and this incredible natural waterfall. Thank you for triggering fantastic memories TCM.

  3. Hi Cindy, I love love love your lemons. I alywas have fresh lemons laying on my kitchen counter and love the look and the smell. I have an empty vintage bowl on a bookcase and couldn’t decide what to put in it…I may just do the lemon thing.
