Beyond his sturdy Twitter feed and equally robust beard, we’re fans of Kiehl’s President, Chris Salgardo’s overall vibe. Known for providing solid, shelf space-worthy grooming products that both men and women can appreciate (or hoard,) Kiehl’s has been making its mark for over a century. This month, we’re drooling over Kiehl’s new calendula-based face wash, a creamy gel cleanser formulated with soothing calendula flower extract. Deluxe-size sample of Kiehl’s new cleanser and their copper-based wrinkle-reducing cream are included with every Pressed Juicery cleanse order online beginning this month until supplies last – the perfect combo of inner and outer cleansing!
To celebrate, we asked Chris to share a few of his other healthy faves. Find out what keeps him tweeting, man-grooming and summer traveling in style. Read Chris’ picks, then order your very own post-Fourth-of-July-BBQ-overload 3-Day Juice Cleanse to share in all of the Kiehl’s summer cleansing merriment…
Whole-grain cereal, cut strawberries, water to flush my system, probiotics.
My food philosophy in one sentence:
Don’t deny yourself!
Chlorophyll, omega-3, and ginkgo biloba for memory.
Can’t live without my:
Friends and family.
Once a week for my health I:
Take psyllium husk to clean the system.
Free weights for shoulders.
Best healthy food option on the go:
A high-protein energy bar.
3 staples always in my medicine cabinet/on my vanity:
Kiehl’s, of course! I definitely have more than three. Kiehl’s Facial UV Guard SPF 50, Kiehl’s Crème with Silk Groom, and whitening toothpaste. I am a big toothbrusher.
At least once a week I cook…
Skinless chicken breast with garlic and some salt and pepper.
If I could give just one piece of health advice it would be...
Do something every day to be active, no matter how small. Take a walk even, to get the body moving.
For the beard…
Men forget about the skin under the beard. Make sure you are cleansing with actual cleanser, not working around the beard. Exfoliating is also very important.
