My Favorite Things with Crown Affair Founder Dianna Cohen
CLEAN BEAUTY
Favorite clean skincare products: Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream, Oak Essentials Ritual Oil, Tata Harper Rejuvenating Serum, Dieux Deliverance Serum.
For the hair: Crown Affair The Cleansing Scrub, The Scalp Serum, and The Brush No. 001; Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray; goop Restore + Shine Hair Serum.
Clean makeup staples: Saie Slip Tint in Three, Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation Stick in Atelier II and Baby Cheeks Blush Stick in Petal, Merit Highlighting Balm in Cava, MAKE Skin Mimetic Microsuede Matte Bronzer in Lunar, Tower 28 Beauty MakeWaves Lengthening + Volumizing Mascara.
Best beauty hack: Brush your hair in the evening (when it’s dry) with a dual-bristle brush to move the natural healthy oils from your scalp down to your strand then dry shampoo. How you take care of your hair before you go to bed will totally change the way it looks in the morning. Taking time to brush in the evening followed by The Dry Shampoo will have you waking up without oily hair, looking refreshed with amazing volume at your crown.
Skin tool or mask: Pause Well Aging Fascia Stimulating Tool, Biologique Recherche Masque Vivant, Joanna Vargas Euphoria Face Mask.
Spa/treatment of choice: Laser or facial at Amy Peterson in Miami, massage, acupuncture.
Perfume: Byredo Gypsy Water, Ormaie Toï Toï Toï, DS & Durga I Don’t Know What.
WELLNESS
Recent obsession: Signing up for Function Health, a new platform by Dr. Mark Hyman. I’m on my second round of bloodwork and analysis and I’ve learned so much about my health and shifted my habits.
Weird wellness habit: I take Mary Ruth’s Elderberry serum multiple times a day. I swear it keeps me healthy and gives me energy.
Trend that’s inspiring me: Being on your phone less.
Fitnesswear fave: Set Active (SculptfFlex material), Outdoor Voices (Freeform material).
Fave reading/podcasts: Podcasts: Armchair Expert, Poetry Unbound, On Being with Krista Tippet, Smartless, Huberman Lab. HOME
Favorite recent purchase: A linen fabric moodboard from NY Blackboard—I’m excited to create a new mood board for my office space. Vintage candle sticks similar to these.
Favorite Instagram account inspo: Studio Sabine Marcelis, Vince Skelly, Sean Davidson, Juliana Salazar, Claude Home, Kelly Wearstler.
Candle: Edition Hotels, Cire Trudon Abd El Kader.
Kitchen goods: Vitamix, Delonghi Dinamica, Kai Shun knife, Vietri tabletop.
Cozy detail of choice: Cashmere or mohair blanket over a chair, bed or sofa.
Fave shop: Attersee, goop, Net-A-Porter, Casa Shop, SSENSE.
CLOSET
Uniform lately: Anything and everything from Attersee. My go-to outfit usually consists of relaxed silk pants paired with a knit / simple fitted top or vest in the summer. When I’m not working, I opt for vintage denim, a white or vintage T-shirt, Chanel ballet flats, and a top handle bag. I love a whimsical accessory but I primarily wear neutrals as my base.
Fave T-shirts: Reformation, Buck Mason, The Row.
Go-to brands: Attersee, The Row, Proenza Schouler, Jenni Kayne, Mango, Reformation, Buck Mason, Chanel, Moussy, Manolo, Emme Parsons.
Never without jewelry: Jade Trau wedding rings, Kimai semi-hoop earrings (two in one ear, one in another), Cartier Tank Francaise, Mejuri diamond necklace, Simuro gold rings.
Loungewear: Entireworld (RIP), Commesi, Set Active, Luyna cotton pajamas, Madhappy.
FOOD + DRINK
Fridge staples: Spindrift, fresh fruit and veggies from the farmer’s market, condiments and spices (chili crunch, cholula, mustards).
Smoothie of choice: Pressed Juicery Hydration+ Greens.
Condiment: Chili crunch on everything that it works with.
Snack always on hand: Almonds or walnuts.
Favorite cocktail: Gibson Martini—my husband has perfected his Gibson Martini. We soak cocktail onions in rosemary at home for a few days. If not a martini, mezcal on the rocks with an orange slice.
