Yoga instructor and art therapist Jessie Groveman knows that in order to glow, you need to flow. As one half of How You Glow, one blog run by two gals – a yogi and a holistic nutritionist – Jessie leads a yoga class that’s right up our alley. Before indulging in our delicious brunch with Kitchensurfing this past Saturday, Jessie led our gathering of gals in a yoga flow just perfect for a day filled with food, friends, and dining al fresco!
After settling in on the gorgeous onefinestay home’s poolside terrace with our color-splashed mats, we began class with Jessie burning a stick of palo santo which is said to enhance creativity and allow for a deep connection during meditative practice. Each yogi received a dab of frankincense (which has been used for centuries to elevate the mind) to inhale before we began. Leading us through a sequence of twists, turns, and folds, Jessie’s calming voice and easygoing nature made us feel connected and at home instantly (the to-die-for onefinestay setting didn’t hurt, either!).
Wanna get your yoga brunch on at home? Get our recipes here and here, stir up a few Citrus 3 mimosas, and download Jessie’s playlist below, perfect for a sweet morning yoga sesh – or just a warm day soaking in the sun!
