While our astrological traits aren’t the only thing to influence our disposition from day to day, they certainly have a great effect – so why not shop for something as mood-based as florals in a more intuitive way? Birthday shopping for the perfect blooms to send someone at home? Just check the date, match their sign and find an arrangement they’re basically destined to love!

These fascinating tips come to us via model and entrepreneur, Frederique van der Wal. Fredrique’s Choice is the model’s latest passion project, designed to upgrade the floral delivery experience to an artisanal level. Floral inspiration for all 12 zodiac signs

Aries: passionate reds March 21 – April 19
The Aries bouquet showcases the color red highlighting the traits of energy, passion and positivity that those born under this star sign have as characteristics. Aries are adventurous, versatile and positive. Red plays to their passion and energy – so we’ve made this bouquet red with a touch of pink. We use red roses and spray roses, along with snapdragons, which signifies being bountiful and abundant.

taurus: white on white April 20 – May 20
The Taurus bouquet bursts with white Madonna lilies, calla lilies, snapdragons and roses to represent the sign’s signature color: white. White signifies purity and can represent a successful beginning. White connects with the Taurus traits of protectiveness, patience, warmth, caring and reliability. We also use a green-white trachelium to convey serenity.

Gemini: savvy turquoise May 21 – June 20
Geminis are friendly, savvy and smart; their color is greenish-turquoise. The bouquet includes green amaranthus, a beautiful flower not often seen in arrangements (sometimes called the “forever flower,” it’s long-lasting and beautiful for a mantel), as well as delphiniums, hydrangeas and roses.

Cancer: true silver June 21 – July 22
The color for the compassionate and resourceful Cancer is silvery white. We use lilies and lace flower (which connotes strength and yet delicacy), and the eucalyptus silver dollar – green and silvery – gives it a really nice feel. This bouquet accentuates Cancer’s inspiration, truth and kindness.

Leo: radiant gold July 23 – August 22
Leo likes yellow-gold. They are gregarious, and this bouquet is alive with an element of humor. We use yellow rose, peach rose and pussy willow to accentuate and increase strength, courage and vitality. And there’s solidago, which further showcases a Leo’s radiance and cheerful disposition.

Virgo: blue details August 23 – September 22
Those born under this star sign are detail-oriented, dedicated and nurturing. Virgo’s color is navy blue, and the bouquet is accentuated with additional shades of blue and purple. It includes bells of Ireland, a purplish hydrangea that goes from navy blue to real purple, a deep purple lisianthus, eucalyptus silver dollar and agapanthus (aka African lily) to represent strength, focus and determination.

Libra: fresh scents September 23 – October 22
For Libra’s green, we incorporate hydrangeas and bells of Ireland to complement a Libra’s cultured sensibility and sincerity; for balance and a sense of sophistication, white is added with lisianthus, to reflect gratitude and appreciation; and eucalyptus, to represent freshness.

Scorpio: dark + moody  October 23 – November 21
Scorpio is a strong and dark sign with an inherent moodiness; the color is burgundy. So we use roses so deep that they are almost maroon, dark lilies and eucalyptus with crimson berries. The intensity of these colors is synonymous with the intense nature of those born under this star sign, who are known for their determination and great power of concentration.

Sagittarius: orange depths November 22 – December 21
This is very much the time of year when leaves change, and the zodiac color for Sagittarius – orange – reflects that. Orange stimulates creativity and feelings of joy. Sagittarians have inquiring minds and are highly intellectual. They live life with gusto! So the Sagittarius bouquet includes calla lilies, which symbolize a deep well of knowledge and intuition; and hydrangea, which is a symbol of creating your destiny to play up the sign’s traits of adventurousness, awareness and open-mindedness.

Capricorn: black in bloom December 22 – January 19
Capricorns are diligent, strong and organized planners; the color for this sign is the darkest – black – and complementary colors are white, khaki and Indigo. The bouquet has very deep red roses; lily adds a pop of color; pussy willow branches represent strength; and the lisianthus represents a symbol of appreciation.

Aquarius: blue flash January 20 – February 18
For Aquarius, turquoise-blue hydrangeas enhance originality, vision and compassion. Also, delphiniums are a symbol of infinite possibility. Eucalyptus is used for its refreshing property, and bells of Ireland are unexpected and original. This is a fresh bouquet for January, when we’re starting fresh and making new choices.

Pisces:fresh greens February 19 – March 20
For the easygoing, open Pisces, sea-green is a good representation for the fish. For its color, we used hydrangeas, green roses – which are actually yellow-green – and feathered eucalyptus, which promote the “green” feeling. This bouquet helps increase Pisces’ creativity and tranquil nature.
