Just this week, friends Kerrilynn Pamer and Cindy DiPrima are opening the doors to their much buzzed about beauty and wellness shop, CAP Beauty. It’s essentially a Chalkboard reader’s candy store, filled with more of the brands and products we feature than just about anyplace else on earth.
Stylist Cindy and stylish Kerrilynn (who owned the West Village’s well-curated Castor & Pollux) have joined forces to create a space filled with their natural beauty must-haves, wellness superfoods, and – down the line – their very own spa.
These ladies get it. Their plan to offer treatments like lymphatic drainage facials to boost circulation and depuff alongside the best green serums and superfoods is on point. We invited these two to share their Green Goddess Guide with us and let us in our their latest CAP Beauty favorites and their own rituals…
Can’t travel without…
Cindy: My own conditioner. Right now, it’s the gorgeous palo-santo infused one from Rahua.
Kerrilynn: The CAPtivator. It’s my best friend on a long trip, especially around the holidays.
In a pinch I…
Cindy: Serve champagne.
Kerrilynn: Put on heels.
Always in my evening clutch:
Cindy: In Fiore’s Fleur Vibrante Instant Radiance. Such a chic package and the fastest way to an easy glow.
Kerrilynn: Kjaer Weis Lip Tint in Goddess and Earth tu Face Skin Stick.
Obsession of the moment:
Cindy: Anything made by the inspiring brother and sister duo, Vitruvi. Beautiful and sophisticated aromatherapy scents. There are seven of them, all for different moments of the day.
Kerrilynn:The magical facialist, Kristina Holey who is developing the protocol for our treatment rooms.
Beautifying snack/meal:
Cindy & Kerrilynn: Now that it’s getting cold out, we’re shifting from smoothies and juices to green soups. We love the Broccoli White Bean Soup from the newish Hemsley and Hemsley cookbook and a Spinach Soup with Cilantro we adapted from 101 Cookbooks. The Paul Bertolli Cauliflower Soup from Food52 is also genius. It’s a perfect addition to our CAP Beauty Lunch Club.
Beautifying drink:
Cindy: A smoothie with mango, loads of spinach and a collagen supplement I take thanks to the advice of my genius herbalist, Daniela Turley.
Kerrilynn: My favorite teacup from Japan filled with a customized cocktail of superfood helpers that include Moon Juice Spirit and Body Dust and Four Sigma Foods reishi mushrooms.
For ultra-glamorous effect:
Cindy: African Botanics Ultra Shimmering Gold Body Oil to channel my inner Bianca Jagger.
Kerrilynn: W3LL PEOPLE Bio-Brightening Stick. The fastest way to look awake, bright and ready to party. That, and a disco nap.
Perfect pout:
Cindy: Kari Gran Lip Whip.
Kerrilynn: RMS Lip Shine in Sublime. Its an over-the-top pink that looks too bright in the jar but just right on the lips.
Beauty tool:
Cindy: Janeke’s gold hair brush.
Kerrilynn: A dry brush session followed up by a massage with Night Queen Body Oil from In Fiore.
Weirdest beauty habit:
Cindy: I guess that would be the collagen supplement I add to my smoothie. I really don’t like to think about how that’s made! Its actually quite creepy, but I do think it works.
Kerrilynn: I don’t think I have one. Is that weird?
In the shower I keep…
Cindy: The detoxifying soap from Portland’s Pearl+. Its a gorgeous black soap made with pearl powder and activated charcoal. And for the kids there’s always a big bottle of Bath Wash from Zoe Organics.
Kerrilynn: Odacité’s Jasmine and Mimosa Body Scrub, Pelle gemstone soap, Acure Organics Shampoo and more body oils than I’d like to admit.
On my bedside table…
Cindy: Cookbooks!
Kerrilynn: Always a novel. Always a business book. Right now I’m diving into the epic My Struggle by Karl Ove Knausgaard and Financial Intelligence. It’s going to be a long winter!
Once a month I…
Cindy: Edit my closet!
Kerrilynn: Get together with my best friends and have dinner, drink wine and catch up.
After a long-night or rough weekend…
Cindy: Green juice.
Kerrilynn: A Pursoma bath while listening to Susie Pearl audios followed by a good nights sleep in clean sheets. If my husband, chihuahua and a hot water bottle are close by, I’m pretty much cured.
On little sleep I rely on…
Cindy: Green juice… and espresso!
Kerrilynn: A quick round of sun salutations followed by a five-minute meditation. Follow that up with some Glow Powder from The Beauty Chef and I’m starting to feel human again.
The product that changed my skin…
Cindy: Tata Harper’s Regenerating Cleanser and her Hydrating Floral Essence.
Kerrilynn: I have to say the jump from synthetic products to natural products altered my skin in ways that I never knew was possible. That, and the realization that gluten is not my friend.
Most treasured beauty tip…
Cindy: Facial massage. It makes such a big difference in the tone and firmness of our skin! Or Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum. Or Calme by In Fiore.
Kerrilynn: Sleep, hydration, meditation and some good loving.
For glowing skin…
Cindy: Yoga, great nutrition and the Face and Eye Cream from Honey Girl.
Kerrilynn: Exercise in any form makes me glow.
My go-to DIY:
Cindy: A coconut oil hair mask.
Kerrilynn: Manuka honey mask.
