Grapefruit Smoothie Recipe

This simple summer smoothie combines the fresh and energizing flavor of whole grapefruit with sweet, creamy rice milk, banana and an accent of fresh blueberries. The sweet and mellow rice milk tones down the bright and zingy citrus for the perfect summer sip. This chill blend is perfect snack to enjoy curled up in your favorite spot in the summer sun.  This smoothie is rich in fiber, potassium and vitamin C.

Summer Grapefruit Cooler
(serves 1-2)

  • 1 whole pink grapefruit, peeled
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup rice milk
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup ice

Topping: 1/4 cup fresh, organic blueberries

Blend until smooth in a high speed blender. Top with organic berries.

Tweak it! You could mix up this smoothie a few ways…

-  Substitute the rice milk with Pressed Juicery’s amazing Almond Milk or Cinnamon-Coconut bevies.

-  Use watermelon instead of grapefruit

- Add in a Tbsp of fresh mint for a minty twist
