Inside The New Book By Pressed Juicery
4.23.14

We’ve watched them pour over the pages, test final recipes and gather together the best that Pressed Juicery has to offer for months. And, finally, this spring, we’re thrilled to announce the founders of Pressed Juicery’s first book, JUICE: Recipes For Juicing, Cleansing and Living Well. Much like the juice they so love to make and that you love to drink, the founders of Pressed Juicery have squeezed every last bit of knowledge and all the recipes they love down into one beautiful, easy-to-absorb container. We’re in LOVE with this book.

For anyone who knows what that fresh green juice buzz feels like – or who just wants to find out – JUICE will reinvigorate your passion for all things juice-related. Packed with glowing images, delicious juice and cleanse recipes, plus insights about juicing from our favorite experts, JUICE is destined to become an instant classic for juice lovers everywhere.

We’re going to be sharing sneak peeks from the book and insights from our founders all season long til the book officially goes on sale later this summer. Get your hands on a pre-sales copy of the book now, then start enjoying our first excerpt from the book: the green juice recipe that started it all, Pressed Juicery Greens 1…

Leafy green vegetables are especially remarkable because they contain such concentrated amounts of vitamins and minerals. There are barely any carbohydrates in leafy greens, and the carbs that are present digest slowly, which means they won’t spike your blood sugar levels. We love having kale in our green juices because of all of its health benefits: it is extremely high in vitamins K, A, C, and E and contains high levels of the minerals manganese, copper, calcium, potassium, iron, and magnesium. Not to mention, it is full of fiber and even contains protein and omega-3 fatty acids. Greens 1 is excellent for preventing disease, promoting cardio-vascular health and natural detoxification, and reducing inflammation.
