An Easy Way to Make Bite-Sized Changes

Remember how I was talking about bite size change in my Letter from the Editor? Here’s my favorite tip: Start by adding goodness to your life rather than removing, dieting, limiting, restricting.

Let’s face it, we’re all still kids. We want toys and stickers and hugs. We don’t want to eat our peas, clean our rooms or be forced to kiss our great aunt Sally. (You know, the one with the runny lipstick and really bad breath?) We don’t want to be “forced” to do anything, no matter how good it supposedly is for us.

When you add the shine to your life, eventually you will be so bright that there will be little room for darkness. Plus, you’ll never feel deprived or imprisoned.

So this week, I challenge you to add 3 soul-yummy things to your world. And you get to choose what you’re adding. Not me. But if you’re stumped here are some ideas …

1.       Add a green juice on 2-3 days.

2.       Add a walk in the sun or the moon.

3.       Add a love letter to yourself: “Dear self, I really love you and here’s why …”

Get the picture? Perhaps you’ll want to crack out your journal or style/vision board and do a little inner inventory. Ask yourself what three “adds” would make you smile, brighten and sparkle. Is it a long Skype call with your bestie? Maybe it’s taking some personal fluffy time and seeing Snow White and that super cute Huntsman. Or perhaps it’s skipping rocks on the waves. Whatever it is, do not wait. Life is too sweet to wait.

That’s it, my friends. Let me know what you’ll be “adding” this week in the comments below. I’d love to know.

Peace & self-giving,

Kris
