We’re ready to throw a straw into anything bright, fresh and green. Even in the fall and winter, when we crave warmer, richer foods, a green smoothie can bring us some balance in an instant.

Former contributor, Madeline Lu is a talented chef and photographer who has since pivoted to become one of our favorite travel Instagrammers. Year ago, Madeline turned us on to this classic recipe from Pressed’s juicing cookbook, JUICE: Recipes for Juicing, Cleansing, and Living Welland we’ve been making it ever since.

We’re following Madeline’s lead and whipping up a big batch of JUICE’s delicious mint mango smoothies to brighten our moods and get in on a powerful dose of whole nutrition. Grab the recipe below and rethink your perception of the traditional green smoothie entirely…

1 mango, peeled and cubed
1 cup of coconut water
1 cup of baby spinach leaves
