Voluminous, shiny hair is always in style and we don’t believe that going au naturale means that you have to give it up! But obtaining the lush look without the help of chemical-based products can be easier said than done. We’ve tried high and low-end hair products aplenty that make our hair fuller and shinier, but coat the hair with layers of not-so-natural chemicals and petroleum-based waxes.
Since we don’t believe in sacrificing style, we’re always on the hunt for the best new natural solutions. In pursuit of a naturally gleaming mane, we reached out to the folks at Just Natural Organic Care to ask them for some tips to acheive perfectly flippable hair. Just Natural products are as pure as we’ve found and packed full of naturally effective botanical ingredients. When it comes to getting hair shiny and thick without chemical overload, products like their silk and kelp-based Protein + Vitamin Hair Treatment make us suspect that these guys know what their talking about.
Just Natural's Best 6 Tips For Thicker Hair
- 1. Nut & Fruit Oils
Use olive, avocado or coconut oil; rub it for a few minutes into the scalp, you can even leave it on overnight. In the morning, rinse it out using a mild shampoo. These specific oils help clear away debris, remove excess sebum, and rid hair of unwanted dirt. Clogged follicles can cause the thinning of hair.
- 2. Aloe Vera
Extract some aloe vera gel from a couple of their leaves and mix it with an egg. Apply the mixture to the scalp every two weeks.
- 3. Massage
Massaging and brushing your hair often stimulates the follicles and increases the blood flow, encouraging hair to grow healthy and thick. Almond oil, aloe vera gel and apple cider vinegar diluted in hot water are popular mixtures for massages.
- 4. Avoid Heat Processing
Do what you can to avoid perms and minimize heat appliances or any chemical based treatment that could hurt the hair.
- 5. Protein
Wash your hair daily or as preferred; go for shampoos that contain hydrolyzed proteins. They can make hair look thicker and fluffier.
- 6. Natural waves
Avoid tight or twisty hair styles; instead make your hair appear thicker by embracing naturally loose or curly looks. The shape and wave of your locks will give off a fuller form.

I love doing hot coconut oil hair masks with essential oil, so luxurious!
Love these tips! I’m a model & often my hair is put to stress with hairsprays, curling irons, straight irons, tight up do’s & more. I’m always looking for natural ways to cure my hair & products that are natural enough that I can use everyday 🙂
I’m always searching for new products and tips that will add volume to my hair. I like wearing it long and flowing, but it’s hard to find a product that won’t weigh my naturally thin hair down. And if i try glossing creams or oils, it has to be just the right small amount otherwise you get the overly shiny look (ahem, greasy). 🙂
I would love to give these products a try. I am already interested in this company’s hair products so this would be great as a trial for me!! Thanks.
I’m excited to give all of these tips a try! My hair is not so pretty when left to its own devices, so styling is a must, any tips on ways to naturally protect it? Thanks!

I am looking forward to trying some of these tips- and would also love to win the products as well!
Another great tip: Get your hair wet BEFORE going into a pool to saturate the follicles so they absorb less chlorine!
These products sound awesome! I have thin, fine hair and it has been such a struggle finding natural products that actually work. Would love to try these out!
I’ve been debating on going with the “no-poo” approach to clansing my hair, but my hair is super fine and gets dried out so quickly. I’d love to find a product that can clean my hair and leave it looking healthy, instead of oily and weighed down.
Great advice! It’s funny how simple beauty care can be when you trust nature’s goodness.
Great tips, I already use some of them regularly! What does the aloe vera mixture do for hair?
Thank you for sharing these tips! I have been losing hair more frequently since moving to a new climate. I even went to the doctor but everything was normal! I really appreciate the first tip on the fruit and nut oils. Excited to try this out tomorrow!
Thank you so much for these tips! I have such fine straight hair that tends to get oily at the end of the day so it’s nice to hear that I can wash every day with a hydrolyzed protein shampoo. Going to go check out Just Natural Organic Care’s website now then rub some avocado oil into my scalp before my shower. 🙂
