pressed juicery brazil nut green spring flavor lto

We’re nuts for nuts – brazil nuts, that is! With its subtle flavor and nutritious profile, this one-bite-wonder is the unsung hero of the nut world. Oft delegated to mere trail mixes and party snacks, we’re ready for the brazil nut’s moment in the sun.

This spring, Pressed Juicery is giving the brazil nut its well-deserved debut in their newest sweet sip. In one of two new limited edition juices this spring, brazil nuts are getting a dreamy green makeover that we’ve been waiting to hit the fridge for months. This nourishing drink packs three power greens (kale, spinach, romaine) along with brazil nuts, vanilla bean, dates and sea salt for a flavor unlike anything we’ve ever tried. Grab a bottle for a limited time only when you swing by a Pressed Juicey location, or go to the online shop and snag bottles of both scrumptious new seasonal juices.

We’ve been begging Pressed Juicery to make a creamy greens for months – we know this one will be a Chalkboard reader fave for sure! Here’s what you can expect from this nutty concoction:

Kale

Kale’s celeb status as  one of the healthiest veggies on the planet is for good reason. Just one cup of kale contains about 100% of your daily requirements for vitamins A, C and K, providing anti-inflammatory benefits as well as phenomenal cardiovascular support. It is also rich in lutein and zeaxanthin, which promote healthy eyesight.

Spinach

Popeye was on to something – spinach is jam-packed with nutrients from a to z! Most notably, the vitamin K in spinach is essential to maintaining healthy, strong bones, and the flavonoids and antioxidants found in spinach have been shown to help combat many cancers – including breast, prostate and ovarian cancer. Its also contains impressive amounts of minerals like potassium, manganese, magnesium, copper and zinc to keep cells nourished and blood pressure stable.

Romaine

Not all lettuce is created equal, and romaine is definitely at the front of the pack. Romaine’s vitamin C and beta-carotene, and folic acid make it a heart-healthy green that keeps cholesterol and blood vessel damage at bay. Plus, a whopping 20% of its calories are pure, complete protein. Who knew?!

Brazil Nut

These Amazonian beauties are an excellent source of mono-unsaturated fatty acids that help to lower LDL (or “bad cholesterol”) and increases HDL or (“good cholesterol”) in the blood making them a perfect snack to keep your ticker in tip-top shape. They also take the cake when it comes to levels of selenium: they’re the highest natural source of this important mineral, which can help prevent coronary artery disease, liver cirrhosis, and multiple kinds of cancers.

Vanilla Bean

It’s no mistake that a scoop of vanilla ice cream can suddenly make you feel like a child again: vanilla bean is known to quell anxiety, making you calm and carefree! They’re also high in free-radical-fighting antioxidants, working to prevent diseases, including cancer, in a seriously sweet way.

Dates

Often called “nature’s candy,” dates contain natural (healthy!) sugars and an impressive amount of iron, boosting energy levels while simultaneously decreasing feelings of fatigue. Because of this, they’re a great supplement for anemics – or just those of us who catch wind of the 3pm slump!

Sea Salt

Don’t get this confused with the processed stuff on your local diner’s table: sea salt actually contains many of the trace minerals necessary to keep your body healthy and happy! Sea salt is alkalizing to the body, keeps your electrolytes in check, and can even aid in weight loss by helping to prevent build-up in the digestive tract. A little goes a long way!

This seasonal juice is available for a limited time only, while supplies last in-store and on pressedjuicery.com! Get in on our #freshPressedseasonal Pinterest contest going on this month as we celebrate the new season. Happy sipping!
